@  SillySilenia : (22 May 2013 - 11:11 PM) True, though I feel being slightly heavy-handed is more acceptable in flash-fic, because you kind of need to put some things clearly from the start, as you don't have much room to further explain. In a multi-chapter, there's less excuse for it, because you've got time and space enough to drop hints and let the hints paint the picture. (Then again, short short stories aren't exactly my strongest suit)

@  Anesor : (22 May 2013 - 10:56 PM) has to give setting, character and problem in that 150 words. I don't have too much trouble with 200 words, but sweating it down is trickier.  The teacher defines flash as 500, but other places like here it's up to 1000. But I'd staying within her rules for the class
